Pos. 17 Take me to go
Act I Passenger (Syndrome)
my bag became my home
the clock the metronome
my phone my brain
my house my bone
my face their zone
must be -
the passenger syndrome
my room: a puppet house
my brain so covetous
my bed my frame
my screen the same
my heart the game
who wants to claim
who is to blame
it’s all the same
same same
same same same
the clock the metronome
my phone my brain
my house my bone
my face their zone
must be -
the passenger syndrome
my room: a puppet house
my brain so covetous
my bed my frame
my screen the same
my heart the game
who wants to claim
who is to blame
it’s all the same

Die skulpturale Installation und performative Intervention „Pos. 17 Take me to go Act I Passenger (Syndrome)“ verhandelt die Mobilisierung des Künstler*Innen-subjektes und Kunstwerkes.
The sculptural installation and performative intervention “Pos. 17 Take me to go Act I Passenger (Syndrome)” deals with the mobilization of the artist-subject and artwork. It examines functionalization mechanisms, myths of professionalism, the pressure to be flexible and mobility dogmas within the visual arts and cultural sector. The installation that is on view in the videowork was transported to the Federal Museum in Bonn in the two steel transport crates and pallet. As hybrid objects between portable space, transport crate, pedestal, storage space and cage, they thus mark the transition from the studio (personal space) to the museum (public institution).
In the Prinzenpalais in Altenburg, “Act IV my bag became my home, the clock the metronome” is displayed as the continuation of Position 17. The installation is influenced by the conditions of the exhibition budget, which allowed one steel box to be sent by a forwarding agent. Act IV examines the semiology and associations connected to prominent symbols such as the house, the heart and the suitcase. Furthermore, the work refers to object relationship theories from psychoanalysis. The referent of a literal “lost object” here is a laminated photo on the back of the transport box: “Heart to go” was lost with La Poste between June and August 2024.
